Privacy Policy

Neon Moon is a bedtime story app for parents and caregivers. This policy explains the information Neon Moon may collect, how it is used, and how to contact us about privacy requests.

Terms of Use

Read the Terms of Use for the app terms, including the Apple Standard EULA that applies to App Store-distributed versions of Neon Moon.

Information we collect

• Account information: information used to create, authenticate, and manage a parent or caregiver account.
• Child profile details: bedtime-safe details entered by a parent or caregiver, such as a child's first name, age, interests, and narrator preferences.
• Story information: generated story titles, text, narration and artwork references, playback state, saved history, and parent feedback.
• Purchase information: subscription status and entitlement information from the App Store or subscription provider. We do not receive full payment card numbers.
• Device, analytics, and diagnostics: app version, device type, persistent app or installation identifiers, crash reports, operational logs, and product analytics events used to keep the service reliable and improve Neon Moon under the applicable terms and this Privacy Policy. External diagnostic reporting may be enabled for a particular release and is not represented as anonymous-only.
• Support messages: information you include when contacting support.

How we use information

• To provide personalized bedtime stories, narration, story history, reminders, and subscription access.
• To keep stories age-appropriate, improve quality, debug issues, and protect the reliability and safety of the service.
• To respond to support, privacy, access, or deletion requests.
• To understand product usage in privacy-conscious ways and improve Neon Moon over time.

Children's information

Neon Moon is intended to be set up and managed by a parent or caregiver. Child profile details are used to personalize stories and support the bedtime experience.

Sharing and service providers

We may use service providers for hosting, story generation, narration, storage, analytics, diagnostics, subscriptions, notifications, and customer support. Depending on the release configuration, these service providers may include Apple (Sign in with Apple and the App Store), RevenueCat, OneSignal/APNs, PostHog, Sentry, and configured generation, narration, and media-storage providers. A listed integration is not necessarily active in every build. Their handling of information is subject to their applicable terms, policies, and any agreements we maintain to operate Neon Moon.

Data retention and account deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Neon Moon, comply with applicable obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the safety and reliability of the service. Limited records may be retained or processed for subscription and payment administration, support, security and fraud prevention, legal compliance, backups and logs, or provider-cleanup audit and follow-up.

When account deletion succeeds, Neon Moon removes active account, child-profile, story, personalization, feedback, session, and related product records from our active database. We delete currently referenced narration and artwork media from supported configured storage when that cleanup succeeds.

Account deletion is not a promise to erase every copy everywhere immediately. Limited records may be retained or processed under the purposes above, and third-party providers may have their own applicable retention procedures. Deleting your Neon Moon account does not cancel an App Store subscription. You must manage or cancel an App Store subscription through Apple.

Data access and export

The current account export is limited to active Neon Moon records in JSON form. It does not include media bytes or records held by third-party providers, and it is not an in-app self-service download.

Your choices

• You can update child profile details and notification preferences in the app when those controls are available.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple. Deleting your Neon Moon account does not cancel an App Store subscription.
• You can contact us with questions about access to or deletion of account data. Some requests may require identity verification and may be limited by legal, security, payment, or operational requirements.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but bedtime trust is central to Neon Moon and we treat family data with care.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Neon Moon changes. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and provide additional notice when appropriate.
